Planning an Outdoor Idaho Mountain Venue Wedding in all Seasons

Are you an Idaho bride planning an outdoor Idaho mountain venue wedding? Your first course of action is to learn all you can about the lovely Idaho Mountains and their seasons. Knowing when you are planning to have your wedding will be valuable as you will have to plan for a few factors depending on the time of year. Each season has their own benefits and hindrances.

Your fall wedding will allow you to take advantage of the weather and change in foliage. A Fall Idaho mountain venue wedding will have the lovely leaves changing color which provides many colorful photo opportunities. You could incorporate reds and yellows into your color choices for the wedding or choose something more monochromatic to let the mountain colors play up your simplicity. You will need to be conscientious of the temperatures being a bit fickle. Be sure to plan for the best and the worst so your guests stay in celebrating mood.

If you would prefer a magical Idaho winter wedding, then you will be able to take advantage of the beautiful snow, which blankets the mountains during that time of year. The tradeoff will be that you will have to plan for making sure that your guests are comfortable in the cold. A good idea for keeping everyone warm would be to utilize outdoor heaters, blankets and warm drinks for the wedding guests.  Dim daily light can be solved with lights and candles. Also a concern are limited availability of flowers from your florist. Break outside the box with beads, branches and pinecones to add a punch of texture and seasonal flair.

Spring will allow you to enjoy the fresh air, blooms and sun, which will accompany that time of year. If you are planning an outdoor Idaho mountain venue wedding for spring then you may want to have a fun outdoor activity for your guests which will take advantage of the weather. A traditional picnic atmosphere with sprinklers, park games and water balloons can be family friendly and full of laughter. A garden reception after the wedding could be arranged to be adjacent to the wedding location to show off recent blooms and allow for colorful photo opportunities.

Finally, summer is always a fun time of year for a wedding. A summer outdoor Idaho mountain venue wedding will have your guests enjoying the warm sun while they take in the lovely panoramas. Decor can be simple in the summer since the lovely mountain as a backdrop t can let you shine as the focal point. In the summer, be sure to avoid mid-day since this is typically the hottest part of the day. Make sure you have plenty of cold refreshments and shade available; displays of buckets or clever bins loaded with ice, drink and cool snacks could be a fun way to keep your guests comfortable.
